The hunt package

2-Day Fully Guided Javelina Hunt (2-hunter minimum)

Included-all guide fees for 2 days, all trophy fees for 2 javelina, lunch on hunting days, drinks, hunting vehicle, days of prebaiting, all bait during hunt, field care of thrphies, transfer of trophies to local taxidermist, transportation to and from Laredo international airport and hunt locations.

Do I Need a hunting license?

Yes, if you are a non resident and are coming for Javelinas and or exotics you must purchase a 5-Day special hunting license which gives you permission to hunt javelina and exotics for the allotted 5 days.

What do i need?

The common stuff: Firearm, ammo, knife, cooler, camera, flashlight, etc.

How's the weather?

Usually by February the weather is quite comfortable in the low 70s. We recommend you watch the radar closely to find out just prior to your departure.

Do I need camo?

Rather have it and not need it than not have it than need it!

How many javelina can i hunt?

The legal annual bag limit is 2.

What rifle caliber is preferred for javelina?

Our favorite javelina cartridge is your favorite rifle, .243 or greater

How is a hunt typically conducted?

A hunt begins with baiting likely areas that javelina frequent. Then from a distance, we spot and stalk them.

How much experience do you have?

All our guides are south Texas natives and we have been hunting them all of our lives. (40+ years)

What has been JHT success rate?

We have had years of 100% success. Most javelina hunts are for 2 javelina and we have had over 200% opportunity for years as well!!!

Can we hunt anything else while we are there?

We also have exotics nearby that can be added on for a trophy fee.

How much javelinas weight?

35-55 pounds.

how are they measured for the record book?

They are not measured by their tusk size, but rather skull size like that of a bear.

What is the difference between a male and a female?

Not much really, they are generally the same size and tusk size is also the same.
