The legal annual bag limit is 2 javelina per hunter.

A .243 or larger is recommended since javelina aren’t large animals, so most centerfire rifles you already own will work fine.

Our guides are native South Texans with 40+ years of hands-on javelina hunting experience in the region.

We’ve maintained a 100% success rate for years, with 200%+ shot opportunity per hunt on average.

Javelina are scored by skull size, not tusk length unlike deer or other trophy game.

Very little, males and females are close in body size and tusk length, so it can be hard to tell them apart in the field.

Yes, javelina (collared peccary) are native to South Texas and have lived in the brush country for centuries, unlike exotic game species that were introduced.

Yes, javelina meat is edible and prized by many hunters, the key is field dressing it quickly and cooling the meat right away, since the scent gland on their back needs to be removed carefully to avoid tainting the meat.

Yes, javelina hunting is fully legal in Texas with a valid hunting license. Non-residents need the 5-Day Special Hunting License mentioned above, and the annual bag limit is 2 javelina per hunter.
